1. What do you mean by Front End design and Back End design?

Front End design means Verification of a designwhereas Backend Design means Analysis of a Design. In the VLSI design steps Writing HDL codes/Schematic, Simulation and Compilation belong to Front end design. And Synthesis, Floorplanning, Placing and Routing belong to Back end Design.

2. Mention some Front end design tools?

               ModelSim from Mentor Graphics is the best Example. In this tool we can write and Simulate our design and can’t do anything apart from that. Active HDL from Aldec is an another example.

3. Mention some Back end design tools?

RailMill, Dracula, Assura, Herculas etc…

4. Why should I perform Synthesis?

 Synthesis is the process which will convert our HDL into gate level Netlist (or we can say, HDL to graphical representation of our design). This netlist is used for other VLSI design steps such as Placing and Routing.

5. If I say a particular code is NON-SYNTHESIZABLE, what do I mean?

It means that the particular code can not produce suitable logic circuit/element to proceed further in the design process.

6. Mention Some Synthesis tools?

XST (from Xilinx), Leonardo Spectrum (from Mentor), Synplify Pro (from Synplicity), Design Compiler ( from Synopsys) etc…

7. Have you heard about RTL style of coding, if yes what is it?

Yes. If I say a particular code is following RTL style then it means that the particular code is Synthesizable.

9. What are entity and Architecture in VHDL?

Entity describes about the external view of a project whereas Architecture explains about the internal view of a project

10. If Quartus II related to Altera then ISPLever related to?

Lattice Semiconductor Corporation.

11. What is the difference between a Signal and a Variable in VHDL?

During synthesis a signal can be represented as Register and a Variable can be represented as Wire.

12. What is the real purpose of using Stick and Layout diagrams?

Without them you can not Produce your chips. The popular formats which goes to the Foundry like GDSII and CIF based on layout diagrams.

13. If Vera related to VCS then E related to?

Specman Elite. Vera and E are nothing but the verification languages and, VCS and Specman Elite are their corresponding Compilers

14. How does a PLD (SPLD/FPGA/CPLD) understands your higher level programming i.e. HDLs?

Through the bitstreams produced after performing VLSI design steps.

15. In VLSI design steps, what do you mean by “Programming”?

Progamming means Downloading to the hardware.

16. Mention some ASIC design tools?

There are lots of them. Please visit the websites of Commercial EDA tool suppliers like Synopsys, Cadence and Magma to learn better.

17. I can design a CPLD or an FPGA using tools from Cadence or Synopsys. True or False?

Using the tools from Cadence or Synopsys you can design whatever Chips you want. If I say that then it includes CPLDs and FPGAs also. Hence the answer is true.

18. In the name FPGA what does FIELD PROGRAMMABLE mean?

You can explain this in two ways.

v     In electronics Field means Voltage, that is why we call FET as field effect transistor. Similarly in FPGA, it explains that Gate of Arrays which are programmable if I supply a Voltage.

v     Gate of Arrays which are programmable by the user itself instead of the manufacturer.

19. Explain about Sensitivity List in HDLs?

Sensitivity list is the list which you notice next to PROCESS or 

ALWAYS statements in VHDL and Verilog HDL respectively. It contains the list of variables that will change the output of a project.

For example, let us assume that we are implementing an OR gate project. For this project we have two inputs (a and b) and one output (c). We know that, the output c changes only when the inputs (a and b) change. Hence the variables a and b should be placed inside the sensitivity list.

To put it in a simple way, those variables which changes the output of a project should be placed inside the sensitivity list.

20. Why FPGAs does not come under the category of PLDs?

Because FPGAs have a different architecture when compared to their counterparts, the PLDs.

21. What is the difference between a PAL and PLA?

In PLAs, both the input and output planes are programmable whereas in PALs only the input plane is programmable and the output plane is fixed.

22. Why should one use Software tools such as Project Navigator or Quartus II?

Programmable devices (PLDs and FPGAs) contains switches which needs to be programmed (neither High or Low) to get our designs. Manually programming the switches is very difficult, infact nearly impossible. That is why we use software tools such as Project Navigator or Quartus II or any other similar tools. These tools produce programming files or binary files after performing VLSI design steps which are used to program the switches in the programmable devices.

23. Complex designs should be programmed using Structural way of Modeling. Am I correct?

To a certain extent, yes. But not always, it depends on the circumstances

and designer’s abilities. For instance, let us assume that we are trying to implement a fulladder design.

One way of designing is, we know that fulladder design contains two ‘halfadders’ and one ‘or’ gate. Now you write a program for halfadder and call the corresponding entity two times in the main project and write a program for ‘or’ gate and call it once in the main program. The end result, within three steps inside the architecture we finish the project.

The other way is, what will happen if the designer doesn’t able to visualize fulladder into two ‘halfadders’ and one ‘or’ gate. On that case, he designs the full adder circuit with two ‘xor’ gates and two ‘and’ gates and one ‘or’ gate (or in any other way). To do this in structural way, he writes the program for ‘xor’ gate, ‘and’ gate, ‘or’gate and calls these programs in the main project. The end result, it takes five steps inside the architecture to finish the project. If he designs the same project in data flow method, he still needs to write five steps to finish the project and addition to that we has saved some time in writing programs for ‘xor’,’and’ and ‘or’.

Hence if the designer has the expertise to visualize a complex circuit as blocks(like halfadders in fulladder circuit) then structural way of programming will be of immense use. Or else it is better to hold on with Data flow way of modeling.

24. What do you mean by Prototyping?

Usually when an ASIC designer wants to implement his design, he will try it out on a similar hardware first and then goes for Actual Manufacturing. This kind of duplication is known as Prototyping. Prototyping is Very important to every ASIC design engineer.

How to Remove Malware Warning from your website or wordpress site

if you went to your own website and you got the message:
"Warning: visiting this site may harm your computer"
That is appearing on your own site then watch this video on how to help fix the problem.

if you are receiving this message it is because there is a bad file on your website that is giving people viruses or downloading and stealing information from people that visit your site, or some other kind of harmful thing.

How it got there:
1) Either someone hacked into your site or server and placed the bad file hidden inside your site.
2) Or you installed a wordpress plugin from a bad source, or you installed some bad code onto your server.

How to fix it:
sign up for google webmaster tools, its free:
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools

Check your site for malware and other bad files using google webmaster tools, or by simply going to this site:
http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/scanner/

Once you find where the file is located on your server then replace it with an old good working file from a back up of your site, Or if you don't have a site back up then you will have to learn code and go through the file to find what the malware is exactly and delete it.

And if your using wordpress specifically:
Then you also need to delete the recent plugin that you installed that you think may be the problem. The plugin that might be related to your issue would be something that is a "counter" of some kind or a plugin that is "cashing" info.

My wordpress site said it had a problem with "counter-wordpress.com" which a guess is some company that made a plugin that I installed that was designed to help make my site run faster by cashing information. But the plugin was coded incorrectly or the company was known for producing malware or the company recently got hacked.

After you delete the plugin it might be a good idea to change your admin passwords, and possibly your server passwords, just in case your site was hacked. And you can also reinstall wordpress to help clear it up better.

Complainant blasts Swamy’s “political vendetta” charge

New Delhi: After the Delhi Police filed an FIR against Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy for spreading enmity between two communities through a hateful newspaper article, Swamy has been on defensive and trying to project the case as political vendetta for his active role in exposing the 2G scam. But the first and original complainant against Swamy’s article has blasted the charge.
The Crime Branch of Delhi Police on Monday registered the case under Section 153A (spreading enmity between communities) of Indian Penal Code for his article published on 16th July 2011 in the DNA newspaper. Swamy said that the FIR about three months after his article was published is a clear case of political vendetta.

“I wrote the article in July. The FIR is filed in October. The motive seems to be my stand on 2G (spectrum scam)," Swamy has been quoted as saying.
But the first complainant against Swamy’s hateful article, Mr Shehzad Poonawala, a 24-years law student in Delhi, said the complaint against Swamy was registered with the Delhi Police within 24 hours of the publication of his article in July itself. Harvard-educated economics scholar, Swamy’s article 'How to wipe out Islamic terror' was published on 16th July in Mumbai-based English daily DNA. Aggrieved with the highly inflammatory and hateful article, Shehzad Poonawa had approached Defence Colony Police Station in Delhi on 17th July with a written complaint against Swamy.
In July the 2G scam probe was not as hot as it is today and the Central Government was not facing as much humiliation as it is today particularly after the exposure of PMO note making the thing messier than ever. Rather the Congress-led UPA had an upper hand for not hesitating to send even cabinet minister to jail for his alleged involvement in the scam.

When Shehzad approached the Defence Colony police to file FIR against Swamy on 17th July the police using their discretionary powers filed a complaint, not an FIR, pending it for further enquiry. In his complaint, Shehzad said that Swamy “intentionally promoted, by written words, enmity on the grounds of religion and disharmony, hatred and ill will between different communities namely Hindus and Muslims which is in contravention of Section 153A(1) (b) and 153B(1) (c) of the Indian Penal code, 1860.”
Two days later i.e. on 19th July, Shehzad approached the Delhi Police Commissioner. The Commissioner’s office referred the case to the Joint Commissioner of Police/Southern Range for further necessary action. Shehzad also approached the National Commission for Minorities. Promptly acting on his complaint the commission shot a letter to Delhi Police for registering an FIR and to Election Commission of India to deregister Swamy’s party Janata Party.
A Delhi court had also asked Delhi police to go into the merits of several complaints against Swamy’s article and take proper action.
After a thorough probe now the Delhi Police has registered an FIR and it informed the minority commission on Monday about the FIR. Swamy has been booked under section 153 of IPC for promoting enmity and hatred between two communities which entails a non-bailable warrant and could land him in prison up to three years.
“Pointing out false reason of political vendetta, Swamy is just trying to portray himself as a victim and a martyr, who is being made a victim of political vendetta. But the truth is that it’s Muslims whom he targeted and who are victims of his hatred,” Shehzad told TwoCircles.net on Tuesday
“In totality, if you see across the country, there was not just one complaint but a series of complaints against Swamy for his hate filled article,” Shehzad added.

Shehzad said that what Swamy wrote and later celebrated on, is against law and constitution of India. That’s precisely the reason why legal action should be taken against him.
Swamy in his article had suggested to Indian Hindus to collectively respond to terror acts. His article was published three days after the Mumbai serial bombings of July 13. "We need a collective mindset as Hindus to stand against the Islamic terrorist... If any Muslim acknowledges his or her Hindu legacy, then we Hindus can accept him or her as a part of the Brihad Hindu Samaj (greater Hindu society) which is Hindustan," Swamy wrote in the article.
Swamy had said that the terror attacks are done by Muslims in order to scare the “Hindu psyche and create the fear of civil war.” He appealed to all the Hindus of the country to unite against radical Muslims and asks them to take inspiration from Jews. “Fanatic Muslims consider Hindu-dominated India “an unfinished chapter of Islamic conquests,” said Swamy.
"Others, who refuse to acknowledge this, or those foreigners who become Indian citizens by registration, can remain in India but should not have voting rights (which means they cannot be elected representatives)," he added in his edit page article.

I watched this film several times, but when I saw him last time was different from all previous times that I was thinking at which the plot and creativity of the writer and a genius director and professional actors and filming, but this time attracted me the name of the movie "enemy at the door," It is worth mentioning that the film when introduced in Europe offer under the name of Stalingrad, but when it was distributed later added under the name "Stalingrad" smaller font, "the enemy on the doors"

Hajj a way to global peace and amity

Hajj or pilgrimage to Mecca is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is a visit to the Ka'ba, the house of Allah .The Ka'ba was built for the purpose of worshipping Allah and it is the holiest place for Muslims and represents the direction that Muslims pray five times a day, from all around the world.

In Hajj one has to perform

* Ihram at Miqat,

*Talbiyah,

*Tawaaf (Circling of ka’ba),

* Istlam (Kissing the Hajr-e-Aswad,

* Two Rakats Nawafal  salat at Muqam-e-Ibrahim,

*Sa’ee (Running between Safa’ and Marwah,s)

* Arriving at Mina,

 *Arriving at Arafat,

 *Arriving at Muzdalifah,

*Return to Mecca after sacrifice and hair cut.

* Perform Taawaf-e-Afaza,

*Return to Mina after Tawaf-e-Afaza,

 *Return to Ka’ba and Farewell.

Hajj was made compulsory in the 9th year of Hijra. Every Muslim has to make at least one journey in their lifetime to Makkah for Hajj if they can meet the expense of Hajj. The Holy Prophet sent off 300 Muslims under the leadership of Hazrat Abubakr Siddique (RA) to Mecca so that they could perform Hajj. That was the year when it was banned for the Mushrikeen to enter Ka’ba.

Hajj is an act of worship just like Salat (five daily prayers) and Sawm (fasting in the month of Ramadan). Muslims from all over the world gather in Mecca in the last month of Muslim calendar and worship Allah. Hajj is a special worship that lasts for several days. This is an occasion that brings Muslims of all countries, colors, and races to one place – the Ka’ba. This is a unique opportunity of worshipping Allah collectively in a large gathering at one place.

The teachings of Hajj are very significant to a Muslim's daily life. Let us discuss the significance of Hajj

1. During Hajj, we learn to establish our prayers five times a day and keep us clean and pure at all times. Prayer is compulsory during the period of Hajj as well as throughout one's life.  The reward of praying near the Ka'ba is more then 100,000 times the reward of praying anywhere else in the world.

2. Sacrificing a lamb, camel or goat during Hajj teaches us to share and to give and help to the poor. It teaches us generosity, kindness, and the ability to share with other people.

3. In Mina, when we throw stones at the three pillars representing shaitaan, we learn that we should be truthful and clean and live a life free of sins. We learn to try to reject and avoid the evil whispers of shaitaan and stand against him.

4. Apart from kindness and generosity, Hajj teaches us that Allahhas blessed us greatly. The water from Zam Zam is a special gift from Allahto Muslims till the Day of Judgement. It is that anyone who drinks the water of Zam Zam will be granted a cure from all the illnesses and diseases. Some of the scholars say that ‘Zam Zam is whatever you make it to be, so for instance, if you drink Zam Zam water and plead to Allahthat He make it a source of healing from a sickness, it will certainly play that role, insha'Allah’.

5. Supplicating at Arafaat is also a blessing. All duas are answered and all wishes are made true.

6. This pilgrimage helps us learn the history of Islam and see how it has been held up over the past centuries. We should remember the work of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (SM). We should learn the patience and the sacrifices made by our Prophet at this very time and place many centuries ago.

7. The gathering of Muslims all around the world helps us to remember that we are all Muslims and worshippers of Allah and that we are all brothers and sisters in Islam.

 We can learn about different nations and we can see that, though all Muslims in the world are not joined together on the basis of color or race, but they are joined together on the basis of belief in Allah and his messenger (SM).

8. The pilgrimage brings Muslims of all countries, colors, and races to one place -- the Ka'ba. This strengthens the spirit of unity, equality and brotherhood. These are the values on which Islam builds the human society and it will continue in this way till the Day of Judgment insha'Allah.

9.  According to Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, the prominent Muslim scholar:

“There is much wisdom behind Hajj. Among these wisdoms is the wisdom that Almighty Allah prepares man to have the perfect form of servitude to Him. There are many acts of Hajj whose significance man cannot conceive by his limited intellectual powers. However, a Muslim accepts these acts and fulfills them out of his obedience and surrender to Almighty Allah.”

10. The performance of Haj and Umrah are the best of deeds that should be done by those Muslims who have ability in physically and economically. Prophet muhammed (SM) said that,“Performance of Umrah is an compensation of the sins committed between it and the previous Umrah, and the reward of the Haj which is accepted by Allah, the Most High, is nothing but Paradise.-- (Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim)

11. In anothet hadis we get that, Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (RA) narrates that Muhammad (SM) said: "Allah Ta'ala accepts the dua of one who performs Hajj and Umrah and if he seeks forgiveness. Allah Ta'ala forgives him." -- (Mishkaat).

12. Hadhrat Ibn Umar (RA) narrates that Hazrat Muhammad (SM) said: "The one who after Hajj visits me after my death (i.e. the Holy Raudah) is like one who has visited me while I was alive." -- (Mishkaat).

13. In Surah Al-Baqarah ayet no 125 Allah says,

“Remember We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety; and take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma'il, that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer).”(2:125)

14. About Sa’ee (Running between Safa’ and Marwah) the glorious Allah say in the Holy Quran:

“Surely, Al-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the Signs of Allah. It is, therefore, no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House, or performs Umra, to go round the two. And whose does good beyond what is obligatory, surely then, Allah is Appreciating, All-Knowing.” (2:159)

15. Hajj has been made a pinnacle of worship in order that Muslims who gather to perform Hajj can praise their Allah, be thankful for His blessings, and humbly pray to Him for the removal of their difficulties. Muslims living in various parts of the world get to know each other in Hajj, lay the foundation of social culture, give advice to each other, and provide opportunity for collective struggle.

16. The late eminent Muslim scholar, Sayyid Abul A`la Maududi, said:

 “During the period of two to three months, from the time of deciding and preparing for Hajj, to the time of returning home we can judge what great effects are produced in the heart and mind of man. The process entails sacrifice of time, sacrifice of money, sacrifice of comfort, sacrifice of several worldly affairs as well as sacrifice of many carnal desires and pleasures; and all this is simply for the sake of Allah, with no selfish end. Then, together with piety and virtuousness, the incessant remembrance of Allah and the longing and love of Him pervade the mind of the pilgrim, leaving a firm impression on him which lasts for years to come.

Through the circumambulation of Ka`bah (tawaaf), the rehearsal of a Mujahid's life consisting of the rites (Manaasik) of Hajj (such as running between two points, and repeated departures and halts), which are combined with Salaah, fasting and Zakaah, you will realize that these processes constitute a training or some big task which Islam wants Muslims to execute.”

17. Shedding more light on the ethics and significance of Hajj, Ibn Qudamah Al-Maqdisi says in his book Mukhtasar Minhaj Al-Qasidin:

 “One who intends to perform Hajj should first make Tawbah (repentance to Allah), settle his debts, prepare sufficient provision for his journey and for his family until his return, give back trusts to their rightful owners, and meet his expenses by lawful means. He is recommended to accompany righteous men to help each other in their journey. If there are a group of people going out for Hajj, they should choose one of them to be their leader during their journey so as to set their affairs in order.

The pilgrim should stick to the Islamic good manners in all aspects, ask righteous people to make Du`a' (supplication to Allah) for him, and say the authentic Prophetic supplications that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is reported to have said on his journey and making Hajj. These Prophetic supplications are dealt with in detail in the books of Fiqh, so one should refer to them for more information in this regard.

18. Allah, Most High, has honoured His House, sanctified it, and made it a visiting-place.

Prophet Hazrat Muhammed (SM) said: "Allah, Most High, boasts before the angels about the pilgrims, saying, 'Look at My servants; they came to Me, disheveled and dusty, from every deep ravine. I make you witness that I have forgiven them.'" (Reported by ibn Khayzamah)

19. It’s recommended for the pilgrim, on departing his homeland, to remember the assured departure of this transitory world to the Hereafter.

20. On putting off his normal clothes and wearing the clothes of Ihram, he should recall the shroud in which he will be wrapped for burial.

21. As the pilgrim utters the words of Talbiyah, he should bear in mind that this signifies a response to the summons of Allah, Most High, as it is stated in the Al Quran, "And proclaim the pilgrimage among men: they will come to thee on foot and (mounted) on every kind of camel, lean on account of journeys through deep and distant mountain highways." (Al-Hajj: 27)

22. On standing at `Arafah, the pilgrim should - when he beholds the thronging crowds, hears the loud voices speaking in many tongues, and sees the various groups following their Imams through the ritual observances - recall the site of Resurrection, the gathering of the communities with their Prophets and leaders, each community following its Prophet, aspiring after the intercession, all wavering with equal uncertainty between rejection and acceptance.

23. When the pilgrim's eyes behold the wall of Madinah, one should remember that this is the town which Allah, Most High, chose for His Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he made it the goal of his migration, that this was his home. He should further envisage the footprints of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, as he went about the city and recall how he used to go about its streets, picturing to yourself his humility and his graceful gait.

24. On visiting Allah's Messenger, the pilgrim should feel in his heart his tremendous dignity and realize that he is aware of his presence, of his visit, and that he is receiving his greeting. The pilgrim, also, should imagine the noble form the Prophet (SM).

For getting all these significance the pilgrim’s intention should be to draw close in love and yearning to the House and the Lord of the House, seeking grace through the contact and hoping for immunity from the Hell-Fire. At the same time, his intention should be earnestly to seek forgiveness and to beg for mercy, just as one who has sinned against another will cling to his clothes while imploring his pardon, demonstrating that he has no refuge or recourse except to his forgiveness.

I’m sorry.

I’m sorry I don’t have the most perfect skin.

I’m sorry I don’t look like a Victoria Secrets model

I’m sorry I don’t have the best style.

I’m sorry I’m not tall.

I’m sorry I’m not perfectly skinny- 5’7 nor 100 pounds.

I’m sorry I have stretch marks here and there.

I’m sorry I have bad hijab days.

I’m sorry that I’m plain.

I’m sorry my eyebrows aren’t thin and perfectly trimmed.

I’m sorry my face isn’t caked in make-up.

I’m sorry that I can never meet society’s standards.

But you know what?

I don’t need to care about society’s criteria.

I don’t need people to tell me I’m beautiful.

I don’t need compliments to make me feel better.

I don’t need a superficial love that can’t withstand a stretch mark here or chub there.

I don’t need to keep sinking into a never ending pit of low self-esteem.

Because I looked to Allah, and He told me the perfect recipe to be Beautiful.

Not just temporarily, but forever.

“And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,…” [25:63]

“And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate {25:67]

“And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance. And [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity. And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind. And those who say, “Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.” Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace.” [25:71-75]

Ya Allah, when the world criticizes me a million times over

Ya Allah, when the world keeps telling me hurtful things

Ya Allah, when the world keeps pushing “ugly” at me.

Give me the courage to hold firm to your Deen.

Ya Allah, as long as I am beautiful to you, nothing else matters.

Ya Allah, even when everyone leaves my side, let me take comfort in the fact that

You are closer to me than my jugular vein [50:16]

Ya Allah, as long as I am beautiful to you, nothing else matters.
